Do WE share the same feeling of "aliveness"?

Could YOU be the creative, quietly-funny, wide-awake girl I came here to meet?

Although a technical job keeps me perfectly solvent, I'm fascinated by the way people think, move and learn. Having trained for three years in a branch of complementary health, I now spend a few hours a week working with people's attention and coordination, doing what I can to enable them to be more aware of how they use their mind, body and voice in whatever they do.

Love harmony, rhythm, real instruments and anything that grooves (rather than rocks). I've played the piano for as long as I can remember, done a bit of teaching and performing.

But whilst I love to connect with people and am never lost for words, excessive noise and boisterous crowds can drive me back into my cave. I much prefer the depth of intimate friendships, sharing ideas, challenging conventional viewpoints, reading, low-budget movies, all sorts of theatre (Edinburgh Festival is an annual pilgrimage), cycling, swimming, walking, running, unpretentious environments and weekends away anywhere wild, peaceful or at least authentically scruffy.

Meditation helps keep my own attention in the present moment and along with some very clear, straightforward, non-religious teachings (particularly Eckhart Tolle, Mooji and Osho) has led me to experience moments of contentment and completeness that I never found in years of reading psychology/self-development books.

I've been on my own for quite a while and being immensely practical, look after myself extremely well. But there's nothing I'd love more than for a girl who actually wants to RELATE, to come and empty a box of spanners into the works of my organised life and for us to explore new possibilities together.

Looking For

Look for in a partnerEspecially if you're involved in any creative process, teaching, performing, music, writing, art, movement, meditation, something technical, practical, physical or anything to do with the mind or body, we won't be short of conversation...

And if you too don't care much for arbitrary rules or sheep-like mentality and don't mind that I tend to express whatever I think and feel with a playful imagination and flowery vocabulary even when things are definitely not going according to plan, you and I could have such a lot of fun together. I'm very fond of WIDE-AWAKE EYES and being rather lightly built myself, I'm usually attracted to girls of fairly small dimensions.

I enjoy meeting new people every day in my work and I'm a very attentive listener, but not being into consumerism, sport watching, TV or the babbling of politicians, whose excess of cleverness is clearly not matched by a similar amount of wisdom, I'm frequently baffled by what people talk about...

And nowhere more so than on dating sites.

However, I'm hopeful that sooner or later someone will say something in their profile that'll make me smile and suggest that WE share the same feeling of aliveness. Then we can swap a few e-mails to see how we might connect and maybe even... meet!
