Hi ! My name is Sophie, and this all feels very brittle.
I am incredibly passionate about art and love reading and writing about it as well as making wildly inconvenient trips to see specific objects. I love being outside and the sunshine (moving to England perhaps not my most sensible choice) and love to cook and read and, as with many art historians, am a failed artist. I am normally good at first impressions though this doesn't make that apparent.
I was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe where I lived until very recently, and sailed round the world when I was a child. I have just completed my bachelors and currently work as a full-time researcher and archivist for an artist's Estate. I write on the side and am currently really interested in anti-colonial protests that utilise art (think #RhodesMustFall, an art historical approach). I have had a bit of a rodeo of a life so far and am happy with my only extremes being sports and ...
I have lived in London for three years and am just beginning to enjoy it (massive shock, like bun-geeing without a rope!). Oxford is a possibility though if scholarship applications count as possibilities.
